Our Philosophy

Earth’s natural systems support our well-being and prosperity, but they are under significant pressure from human activity. Our challenge is to conserve nature while developing the planet sustainably, leaving resources and healthy ecosystems for future generations. To move in this direction we must deepen our understanding of the connections between the environment, society, and economies. Embracing science, indigenous wisdom, and systems thinking we broaden our vision for designing a future that is renewable and equitable. The philosophy of bioregionalism, regenerative design, and the Sustainable Development Goals serve as valuable guideposts in taking cooperative action toward a more sustainable future
